Re: hp printer 1020
Hello FixYa User,
If you are using thermal paper, Turn the roll upside down (I had the same problem).
If you don't use thermal paper please ring HP on 1 300 888 423 they will tell you whats wrong for free, If the Facsimale is faulty and is under warreanty they will fix it.

try with different tone cartridge and if its still give problem its can be problem with fusser assembly internal part which need to be serviced or replaced by service person
If these are new cartridges, make sure you removed all of the protective plastic wrap that comes when packaged. usually its red , yellow or orange plastic tab that should be removed.
If these are not new cartridges, you may need to try another set.
Try running the head cleaning utility under the printer utilities options
HP is very good at having this utility available to trouble shoot most common problems. If you don't have this utility, try updating your printer driver. (basically uninstall the printer and download the driver from the HP website, and reinstall the printer using the latest driver).
Hope this helps..

To prevent damage to the print cartridge, minimize its exposure to direct light. Cover theprint cartridge with a sheet of paper. 1.Open the print cartridge door, and remove the old print cartridge. See the recyclinginformation inside the print cartridge box. CAUTION To prevent damage to the print cartridge, hold the print cartridge at each end. 2.Remove the new print cartridge from the packaging, and gently rock the print cartridgefrom front to back to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge. 3.Pull the tab until all the tape is removed from the print cartridge. Put the tab in the printcartridge box to return for recycling. 4.Insert the new print cartridge in the printer, making sure that the print cartridge is inposition. Close the print cartridge door. CAUTION If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry cloth and wash the clothing in cold water. Hot water sets toner into the fabric
