Printing from 2 different pc, drivers installed on the server, get different quality
We have a Konica 5430dl installed on a server running SBS2003.
When users are printing using different Pc the result is good and the same.
Recently, we have set upa new user with a Sony laptop, installed the same printer from the server, therefore using the same drivers, and the printing quality is blur and different.
We have deleted the printer from the machine, deleted the drivers, reconnected to the server to install the printer, and still the same problem?. As we are using the drivers installed on the server, how can the printing be different only with this particular user ?.
Thank you for your help.

Try downloading this Extract and go to mc5430DL_Win7_v184.108.40.206\English\English\setup.exe Run this setup file. Install the components that you want. If you select local and USB ensure printer is plugged in to your computer. Hope this helps.
you can try running gradation to reset the imaging. Also try an internal test print.. 1) utility 2)user setting 3)printer setting 4)print reports 5)demo
you can use this to compare prints to test if its a driver issue.
On the 5430 DL there is an aux legal tray that can be purchased for legal printing. On a later successor the 5550 a manual feed option was included, however for the 5430 there is no option for printing legal without the extra tray being installed. On a side note, I have this tray and when not printing legal it lets me load an extra 500 sheets of letter paper which is very convenient when I need to print a bunch of sheets overnight.
This needs to be setup through the computer using the printer properties, not through the printer. You will need to be the local admin to make the changes. You may also have to go under advance and manual specify the tray and component types. The printer will not allow you to set options for trays and components that are not enabled or detected. Let me know if you need a step-by-step.
The machine keeps track of what paper was reqested last, and asks you to change paper if the new job is different. I get the "put media" message and have to open and close the drawer if my next print job requests a different paper. So I suggest you gently open and slam the drawer a couple of times, or see if you can find the sensor switch that monitors whether the drawer is open. Also check if your paper guides in the drawer are clicked in place.
I think I had a chat with you , here is trancription:
You are now in session with bazza1963 ginko says: hi ginko says: are you there? ginko says: seems

ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/cts/out_going/manuals/5430dl/ig54dl.pdf ginko says: ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/cts/out_going/manuals/5430dl/ig54dl.pdf ginko says: download the above driver software. ginko says: is the same as the one distributed in disk coming with printer , if you have the disk you can use the disk ginko says: Once you downloaded software do the following: ginko says: 1 disconnect printer from PC ginko says: 2
expand and install downloaded software, alternatevely use the disk
provided with the printer. Do this with printer disconnected. ginko says: 3
when asked from installation, or after installation, connect the
printer to your computer using the USB cable , not the
network (ethernet) cable ginko says: 4 the printer will be recognised in Windows, if it does not restart the PC ginko says: You must use an usb cable to use this printer as a local printer. ginko says: You may need a router to use the ethernet cable (one similar to thick phone cable) provided with the printer ginko says: therefore ensure you are using the right cable ginko says: here
is an example of usb cable, sometimes it is not provided with the
printer, have a look,. This is the right cable you need to use to
