I have windows 7 and no longer have the installation CD for my hp laserjet 3055 what should i download and isntall in order to be able to scan and print

If Windows 7 can't detect your printer, you can try downloading the driver from HP's website :

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=1140780&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=1161389&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4062

and choose the HP Universal Print Driver. I hope that will fix your problem. Thank you

Hi there,
Check the IP of the printer, it should be manually assigned, if you are not confirmed,
  1. Press menu/enter .
  2. Use the or the > button to select Reports , and then press menu/enter .
  3. Use the or the > button to select Config report , and then pressmenu/enter .
  4. The printer exits the menu settings and prints the report.

Try re installing the printer software from the cd, or download the full version from the links below for your area

Unable to scan on HP Laserjet 3055 on Windows XP

Sounds like a software issue - U might try contacting HP but do not hold your breath. If machine is out of warranty they want nothing to do with you and will refer you to some forum or whatever. Or they might tell you to get a new scanner compatible with a newer OS.

Hi,
If you have installed the printer using Add printer and faxes then you have just install the printer drivers which will allow you to print over the network.
However if you want to scan over the network than you have to install the complete software of the printer .
If you do not have Software CD than you can download and install the software fom Link below.

Wireless router

hmmm..that's a bit different print servers usually only handle the print driver..check with your router folks to see if that's not the case. HP only sends what is available. The router is in charge of what gets through.
