Question about Fedders A6X08F2BCOM Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner

1 Answer

Air Conditioner won't work after resetting and testing

My airconditioner suddenly went off, and after which I followed the directions to unplug reset then replug in and push the test button then reset button again and all that is displayed in the digital window atop is "EE"... 2 E's. Have no idea what this means. So does the "EE" represent something? Like the plug needs to be replaced or any other ideas would be welcomed. Thxs, Drilla

Take it back to the store. Manufacture defect if it died after only 10 days. Attempting repair or disassembly will probably void warranty.

SOURCE: air condition wont turn on

Do you have enough power to unit? Check plug for any loose wires on unit, with unit unplugged of course.

SOURCE: reset button

Unplug it for a few minutes and see if this resets the unit and cures the problem. If the unit was running when you did this, you cut power to the compressor and it will lock out for awhile until pressures equalise. This is normal and is meant to protect the compressor from being short cycled.

Frigidaire airconditioner compressor keeps running after turning the unit off

Thanks for the post, friend!

I understand that the compressor continues to run after your Frigidaire air conditioner has turned off. From that information it sounds like there could be a possible issue within your control panel or relay. I would recommend a reset on the appliance, to perform a reset unplug the power cord you will see a test button, push that button and you will hear a click. You would then press the reset button you will hear a click again signifying that the appliance has been reset. Then plug your air conditioner back in. If you continue to have an issue with your compressor I would seek assistance from a professional. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

MY AC SHUTS OFF AND CODE E1 COMES UP

This is a reminder to clean the air filter. It happens every 720 hours of operation. Here are the steps to get it back up and running:1. Power down the air conditioner using the "power" button on the front panel.2. Unplug the air conditioner from the wall socket.3. Hold the front panel "power" button down and plug the airconditioner in. Continue to hold the power button down as the machine goes through a brief test sequence (fan & compressor each come on briefly, etc). There is a "beep" sound at the end of the test sequence, and the machine will be off. At this point, you can release the power button.4. Unplug the air conditioner.5. Plug the air conditioner back in.6. Congratulations! You should now be able to operate the airconditioner normally for another 720 hours, but only if you followed the instructions above EXACTLY.
