Cheers.

It is possible that the disk was recorded on another recorder using NetMD in SonicStage. Download SonicStage and edit/ erase your disk from within the program. Does your N910 have a USB port??
Sony Support web site has stopped support on some MD models,
however if you visit http://forums.sonyinsider.com/index.php?
you can most likely get all the support you need including drivers and SonicStage, which will work on Windows 7 & 8
You can't do this digitally, it's a fundamental hardware restriction in
the the NetMD specification and is to prevent music piracy.
Unfortunately it also catches anyone who has used the machine to record
non-copyrighted material.
The only way that you can transfer the
music is via an analogue audio patch lead. You can improve the quality of the analogue output though by setting the headphone output to line output. The MZ-N707 lacks this as standard but the circuitry is present and can be accessed by rebooting the machine as an MZ-N910 (see below).
Note
that there is no way around this restriction: all NetMD
players/recorders completely lack the hardware needed to make digital
uploads to other devices so there is no hack or firmware mod to
overcome this issue.
The later (and far more expensive) HiMD
machines do not have this restriction but you still cannot use them to
upload material recorded on a regular MD to other devices. They will
only upload from a HiMD.

had the same problem a few minutes ago! removed the battery but it didn't help. tried with another md, no success tried the same md in another Mz 910, no success
then it got on my nerves and I gave the MZ n910 a little shock with my hand.
It worked, stopped spinning and started to play.
It was, I think, a spinning problem, md couldn't play properly, the little shock helped.
