To format your Nokia N73 dial code *#7780# or *#7370# it will ask you to confirm that press OK. It will take some time and your handset will be format & restored to original settings. When it ask for security code then default security code for Nokia is12345

But if you format the whole phone then follow the procedure below

First of all Switch off your phone then press and hold 3 keys combined

  • Green dial key
  • Star key no *
  • No 3 key on keypad
then press the power on to switch on the phone.
  • In the process don't leave the 3 press and hold keys, After some time the phone will format completely

Note: Remember one things this will deletes all your messages, all contacts, photos, notes etc in the phone memory.Your phone is like a new phone. So better is first save all your data and then restore it.

To format N 73 Cellular Phone Steps are shown below

  1. You can remove the mmc but keep the sim card and restart your phone.
  2. Then press the keys *#7370#.
  3. The phone would ask a confirmation.
  4. Select yes.
  5. Then it will ask for a code.
  6. Type the phone lock code (the default code is 12345).
  7. There you are! your phone will restart with all the phone memory formatted.
Tips
  • Also remember that you can reset your phone but not loose any of your personal files (I.E restore the settings that came when you bought the phone while keeping contacts etc) by following the above procedure but using the code *#7780#
Warnings
  • Don't apply these steps if you are not sure what you are doing.
  • Make sure you have enough battery power before beginning this procedure.
  • Formatting will erase all your contacts/messages, so make a backup of your phone before formatting.
  • If have MMC-card make a backup on mmcstore file !

1.Make sure your phone is fully charged.
2.Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card (if possible).
3.Switch off your N73 phone.
4.4Press and hold these three keys together:
The green dial key,
The star key (*)
The three key (3)
5.Press the power on/off for 1 minute to switch on the N73 phone. Do not let go of the three keys until you see the "formatting" screen displayed
6.Wait a few minutes until the format is complete. Your N73 will now be formatted and restored to its original factory settings.

This wont ask you for Lock code when you switch it on next time.

here is how to format Nokia N73
1: Turn of the phone
2: Press and hold the green dial button +* + 3 and then power on the without releasing the buttons until it turned on. It will give you a time option after.

Note: Don't release the buttons until it completely on because it won't display the formatting message.

try to format your cell

Switch-off your phone.

1. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the phone.

Remember, do not let go the 3 press and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show!


2. After a few minutes when the Full phone formatting completed, your phone will back to original system and factory settting.
