SOURCE: ice maker wont make ice

It is quite possible that the water line which feeds the ice maker is frozen. Whirlpool manufactures a "REPLACEMENT" water line that solves this problem. Fortunatly our problem occured while the refrigerator was still under warranty. I would suggest that anyone owning a Whirlpool product purchase the longest extended warranty available! They USED to manufacture a quality product. But I guess they just don't care about the consumer any longer. It is all about money!!

SOURCE: Water dispenser

the slide switch ice - water may not be making up. the paddle inside the door operates a common microswitch to either dispense ice or operates the water solenoid. check out the selector switch.

SOURCE: Ice Maker not working

Get me the model number. Put tap water in ice maker tray and make sure arm is down. Let it freeze. Wait and see if the ice will drop, this should allow water to come into the ice maker for another run. Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Whirlpool Model GS6NBEXRL01 ice maker not making ice

Most likely the water control valve on back of the refrigerator near floor or the thermostat inside the ice maker is defective. You can fill the ice maker with water from tap and see if it cycles one time or you can check the control valve solenoid that feeds water to the ice maker. Click on link below and then paste your model number in model search feature. That takes you to a page with breakdown photos of the parts I mentioned. On the left of your screen click on photo # 12. If you need help with this I am here, just let me know, Sea Breeze

I have a GE refrigerator model gfss6kkycss with a Samsung ice maker model DA97-07365A the problem is it is not making any ice and the water dispenser is working fine

-Make sure turn the ice maker " ON"
If it's on then the Water valve to the ice maker might not function.

Hi, I have a amana af12538aes french door refrig. Starting this am, the control on the door does not deliver ice only cold water from the ice button. The ice maker is making ice. Is this a control...

Is the display flashing when you try and use it or can you hear the dispenser door opening and closing rapidly (clicking or clapping sound)? These are prone to the board going bad and losing the dispenser. Is the "ice" light lit on the dispenser? The touch pad could be bad too. Do you hear the auger motor turning the ice when you press the dispenser? or just the "shhhhhhh" of the water coming out?

If there is ice in the bucket then that is not the problem. Dump it and listen if you hear new ice drop to verify.

There is no such part called an "ice element". Ice maker-yes.. Heating element-yes.. Ice dispenser-yes

yes where thr water go\es into the ice maker is where the problem lies, take the ice maker out and then you'll see the tuding where the water goes into the ice maker. Then take a hair drier or a shop vac reversed and thae out the utde and the water will flow after it is thawed.

Water dispenser fine but ice maker not working

Hi. A good way to check the ice maker water solenoid valve is to swith the wire lead from the dispenser water solenoid valve to the ice maker water solenoid valve. Now push the water dispenser lever and water should come out your ice maker fill tube. If not, either the fill tube is frozen or the ice maker water solenoid valve is bad. Take the 1/4 inch tube that runs up the back of your freezer off at the ice maker water solenoid valve and blow thru it. If you can't, the tube is frozen. If you can, the valve is bad. Good luck, Mack
