Interior light won't go off

Need a bit more information here. Does it still cook when told to do so? If not, you may have a problem with the door close switch. Perhaps it is as simple as using a screwdriver to finesce the actuator back into position. The inside edge of the door has a metal latch and often times a slightly shorter pin or tab that actuates the door open switch. This not only enables the light in the microwave to turn on when the door is open it also tells the cooking circuits to disable until the door is properly closed. You probably have a shorted cook relay.

From your description you have a bad door switch, there are usually a few of them located inside the microwave under the keypad control board that will need a digital meter to trouble shoot.

Sounds like you have a faulty control panel. I would use a meter and test the power from the control board to the magnetron and circuit board. Chances are the control panel is faulty

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch or a loose door switch mount, which are pretty simple problems to fix.

Since it's less than one year old, it would be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

If the light comes on during cooking then the bulb is ok.. in all probability the problem is the door switch that senses when teh door is open and activates the light... Hope that helps..
