I have a pair of jeans that has gotten stuck underneath the middle part of the washing machine. I have pulled on the jeans to no avail, as well as running another cycle to try to loosen them up. That didn't work either. Is there a way to remove that middle part? Thank you.

Re: Jeans stuck in washer
Harkins...you model looks like a one piece agitator according to the model number. Pop the cap off the agitator, you will see a bolt under there. Using a socket wrench remove the bolt and the agitator will lift up. If you have a fab dispensor on top, just pop it off. Catriver...post back.

there are three or four balancing springs under the drum attached to the frame and drum carriage chances are that one of these springs has broken or come undone they only realy do alot during the spin cycle if you are ambitious turn off the water and unplug the washer pull the back off and have a look see underneath if you do find a broken spring with a pair of pliers bend a new loop in the spring and hook it back up Good Luck
Let's start with the detergent and the water temperature. If they are the same as what you use at home, then I have to assume the machine may be overloaded. Back off on the load by about 1/3 and see what happens. In the worst case scenario, you could let the jeans soak in the detergent/water mix over-night
Hi, Here is a picture of the agitator and the block that it locks on to. The agitator pulls up very hard. I use a belt and slide it under the agitator. Then I use a board or pipe and loop it through the belt and pry the agitator up. I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
you dont have to worrry about it being absolutly level, just level the fron feet so they are touching the ground. use all of your body weight to shake the machine if yout feels hard as a rock then its fine.
if your load is becoming unbalanced, then RTFM, this machine is a suspension basket, you cannot wash a load of shirts and throw in 1 towel, or 1 pair of jeans, towels only by themselves and jeans only by them selves.
There is nothing wrong with your machine. Don'f bother with the sound , You said you threw 2 pair of jeans, so its bottons are causing the sound against the drum during cycle. Finished your laundry and worry no more. To make sure, throw some another clothing asides form jeans, like shirts, and feel the normal silent of your machine.
