Deleteing voice recording

Hi..

Do you want to delete your files, the easy way is you just plug you unit to your computer, after you unit will be detected you can see the files, now you can delete the files that you want to delete, just right click the files and delete.

I think you have installed the UMS firmware on your iRiver, right? That firmware, for whatever reason, limits the recording to 96kbps. Using the standard firmware, you can record up to 320kbps @ 44.1 kHz.

try upgrading Audacity and have a ponder about reverting back from the UMS settings.

Hi. We have the VN-2100PC model. On this model, to delete the current file: press the "ERASE" button, then press the left-hand side of the main button, so that "YES" is flashing on the screen, then press the "PLAY" button to confirm.

Dear 'magicalangel'.....to delete messages simply press and release the 'erase' button. When you see the word 'delete'...press and hold the 'erase' button once again until the word 'delete' dissapears.

Hard to tell without a model number, but in general:

1. Connect your player to the computer.
2. Launch Windows Explorer.
3. Select and delete the unwanted music, pictures or video files under Philips. For voice recordings, select and delete the unwanted recording files in the Voice folder.

do a clean if that doesnt work you will have to format it

I can not get it to record or play back. I have replaced the batteries but I do not recall how to operate the unit.

Which button is which? I have tried to find instructions online but I keep coming back to this site.

press the erase button, it should flash delete at you, if you let it do that to long it will go back to the way it was before you hit the erase button. to delete, hit erase on the folder you want then hit erase and hold it untill it deletes the file. continue this proccess untill all files are deleted

upgrade the firmware should fix the problem
