I would start by wiping It down with a damp cloth and then letting it try. Depending on its condition there are a few steps to take from here. One option for something in good shape would be a wood polish (though I don't think this is what you want for a work bench). If it needs more work, it can be sanded a fine grain sandpaper and then left as is, or stained or sealed. Just as a heads up, wood is very porous so if it is stained because something was spilled and left to sit, it's likely permanent. A dark stain (found at any hardware store) and some sanding might be able to over it up.

Are metal outdoor benches as comfortable as the wooden benches? They look extremely uncomfortable

It does just depend on the type you are getting.Metal benches can be very comfortable and even more than wood benches, dependson the angle and their cushioning. I suggest that you will try some benchesbefore buying. I can tell you that the metal ones will last longer and areeasier to maintain.

I want to get a wooden outdoor bench, but what about weather damages overtime?

If you prefer wood, then you should definitely go for the long lasting woods like Eucalyptus, cedar and teak. If you like metal benches, make sure they are painted in water resistant color and that they are also rust resistant.

I painted a picnic bench with latex, and it peeled. I scraped off some of it, and much is left on. Is oil base paint over this a good solution?

Hi there. Try to remove as much of the old paint as possible. You should sand down the wood and paint a little bit to rough up the wood and only then paint over it. Paint sticks much better to roughed up wood. Oil based paint would also be a better solution. The best solution is to use stain, if that's an option. Alex

I have an old 2 piece bench grinder that was wor...

Could be a belt tension issue. Try tensioning the belt by moving the motor and wheels farther apart by reanchoring the units,or,spanning the gap between units with a series of wood blocks and shims(wedges).Be careful with tensioning. Always manualy move the belt, unit unplugged. There should be some deflection(play) in the belt when pressed upon with a finger.

How do i take out a rear main seal?

Remove the transmission, after holding the rear of the engine supported, using a jack with a piece of wood between it and the engine. Remove the clutch and pressure plate, and the flywheel or if automatic, the flex plate. The rear main seal retainer will then be exposed. Remove the 2 oil pan to main seal retainer assembly, and the bolts circling the retainer, and slide the retainer assembly unit back off the crankshaft. Remove the old gasket from the retainer, and clean the gasket ridge before installing a new gasket. It's a one piece hard rubber gasket, which must be inserted in the retainer evenly. This can be done on a work bench, or flat wood on a concrete floor, Some light oil might help it seat easier, Once seated slide the retainer containing the new gasket back over the rear of the crankshaft, A rubber hammer will help ease it back into position, Replace all bolts, not forgetting the oil pan to retainer bolts, and reinstall all parts in reverse order of removal. If a manual trans, this would be an excellent time to install a new clutch kit.

Just got the dp350 can not get the chuch to stay on no matter what i do

try this, get something like brake clean or equiv. spray the inside of the chuck and also the spindle, wipe clean with a paper towel. fully retract the jaws and using a block of wood tap on the chuck to seat it on the taper. You might have to move the table out of the way but it will work. If I have helped you with your request would you please rate this response accordingly. Thank you
