You also must make sure that it is grounded as well.

If you need more help, let me know and please tell me how you were able to determain that it has power going to the radio. Which wires did you check and how did you check them.

Sometimes having the antenna plugged in will give you a good enough ground to at least check the radio. Most cars have the antenna ground connected to the chassis but not all. This is not intended as a permanent ground.

If all wiring is correct and no fuses are blown, yu may just have a defective radio that needs service.

If I can be more help just let me know.

The unit comes on using the power button as well as a remote and displays "Polariod" on scrfeen and then nothing else, no sound no picture?/

More than likely your power supply needs two electrolytic capacitors, 10MFD @ 450 WVDC. If you find the capacitors on the power module to the top of the metal enclosure inside the tv, they will probably appear to have swollen tops.

Plugged it in and it makes a clicking sound it won't do anything

nothing else ie no display, no lights if so dead main board no be economical for repair

if it has display ok then there is paper stuck, take out back door, check there..

also with the power off, check inside right up inside against far left and right walls of unit, paper gets stuck inside and then the bit that moves up and down along the silver bar(carriage and print head) slams the paper up against the wall. You need to reach in with two fingers and get it.

AMp does not display any LED read out

Amps have a part inside that is made to keep the channels equal. The problem is that when there is nothing hooked up to the second channel, then this goes bad and goes into protect. It is really hard on an amp to use just one channel.

Won't power up; push power button on, hear click in back left of unti, get nothing on front display and no output from speakers; as if unit trying to operate

Disconnect the speakers and see what happens. Carefully examine the speaker cables for unwanted connections (shorts).
Take a clue from when the power problem appeared. Something was moved and made the buzz a (probable) dead short.

Sanyo GVR S955 will not power up. Has low hrs of use.

Disconnect from a/c source [unplug]
Open back of VCR and LOOK inside. Follow a/c "power" plug to a board.that will house a fuse. Replace fuse with the same rating ( voltage, current, e.i. 120v, 1.5A; 115v ,3.5A ) REconnect cover with screws, plug a/c in see if it works.
No work, get a tech to take a look.

well fuses are at the power supply sections and if the tape was jamed inside the deck, just disconnect the plug and try to take-off the case/cover of your unit but before opening it wait for about 1-2 hours to discharge the capasitors and then disassymble your unit try to get the tape deck and then get a knife a scissor, something to cut the tape inside the deck, thats the best solution, but you won't get your tape back though even when you get your tape uncut well, when you play it again you will not get good sound.

maybe your tape deck have a problems, maybe a broken gears, a belt was snaped, or a relay is the main problem.

its better to observe your unit first before you play a tape again.

ok? hope you could get your system back in good condition and have a good day.

JVC KD-G110 car music system is taking CD and not getting played am not able to function any ...?

Hi. your radio has 2 power wires. A red one and a yellow one (with most decks) It sounds like your radio is getting only constant power but no "key on" power. Check your radio with the key on you should have power on both the red and yellow wires. If you are missing power on one of the wires theres your problem. If you have power on both wires then there is something internally wrong with your radio...

Pioneer DEH-PB40MP No Power

hey, indeed this sounds like a couple of fuses gone bad. I dont know this accurate model, but it shouldnt work any diffrent. Anyway, with the stereo UNPLUGGED remove the covers and inspect inside, especially in the vicinity of the power transformer. The fuses may be glass cylinders with metal caps. There are other types, but the only ones you should probably try to mess with are the glass type, usually about 5/8" long by 1/8" wide. They should ONLY be replaced with the same type. Somewhere on the cap will read something like 3A, 4A, etc. This is the ampere rating. Replace only with same rating. It is foolish and dangerous to just go out and grab whatever fuse is laying in your car's glove-box, for example. There may be a couple fuses. As I said, there are other types of fusible devices, but they would require a tester and some limited knowledge of electronics to test. The glass-bodied fuses can usually be seen to be either good or bad by looking at the filament inside.
