Question about Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 Digital Camera
I have a sony 200 and want to buy an external flash...I heard for that you need a hot shoe to fix the same with your camera. Can anyone let me knw what else i need to buy to fit the external flash with my sony a200
I have use an old Osram side mount, the biggest issue you face is the syncing. I learned to make my old flash a slave and let the little built in flash drive the side mount.
I did buy a Hot shoe mounted flash it has to be compatable with Sony. It uses infared to focus no firing of flash. In low light you will hear the lens seeking a focus point.
Research flashes I use one that has ability to tilt up and has a diffuser shield good for those wide angle shots.
the money spent on a good flash will enhance your pictures.

The camera already has a hot shoe that will accommodate a Sony flash unit or a third-party flash unit designed for Sony cameras. You don't need anything else (other than the camera and the flash unit, of course).
