New Card Card was full. So I bought a new card, Lexar 2GB SC Card. Put new card in and formated it. PROBLEM: Records 10 seconds and stops. Can't get it to record. There is a red icon blinking, I don't know what it is. Looks like a battery with a line through it. But the battery is on the camera and it is plugged into the outlet.

    We tried 2 other cards. One of them is the old one which is full. The other works according to the owner so it should be an excellent new card.

    I am going today to the store to buy a battery and will try it when we get here tomorrow. Thanks for your tip. We had overlooked that battery hidden away. It's hard to find. Will try it tomorrow. Thank you very much for your help.

I don't know if this is related to the recording problem, but I believe the red blinking icon may be telling you to replace the backup battery. It's a button-type battery and is located under a small panel located in the area where the LCD folds into, just below and to the left of the buttons there. The battery is a CR1616 battery. Try replacing it and see if it resolves the recording issue.

    I suspect that you are trying to use the card for video, not pictures. You can fill the card with pictures (pressing the "photo" button), but it will only record a few seconds of video:
    320x240 = 10 sec
    160x120 = 30 sec.
    This is because it will only accept SD/MMC cards (2gb max), not SDHC.

My c703 won't format a new memory card. The old memory card is full (2GB), but I've tried two NEW Lexar 4GB cards and neither will format. Help!

Hi, The reason neither 4GB card will format is because that camera is only able to support, at most, a 2GB card. I'd suggest returning the 4GB card and getting another 2GB one.

Bought a new Lexar 8GB memory card and having trouble formatting it for the Kodak Easy Share V530

The V530 works with SD cards. Your new 8GB card is an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to go with SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I bought a 2GB and a 4GB SC memory card. They say needs formatting when I put them in the camera and when I try to format on computer it says it can't be done. I have never done anything but pop in...

Never format a camera card in the computer...it's a different operating system. Always format a new card in the camera. Just go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

Put new lexar sdhc 4GB memory card in my canon sd550 and get card locked. moved tab to both positions but same error message. do i need to return this card?

see if their might be some photos or file saved that you may have edited on the card maybe Microsoft visual studio's photo shop save to hard drive. delete with photo software and format put in camera format again. if it works with computer and not with the camera not compatible try another card

I have a NV10, it will not format the lexar 4GB SDHC memory card I bought, all it says is format error

The NV10 will not accept SDHC type memory cards. The largest card you will find it takes is a 2GB card of the SD type (not SDHC). The camera is not SDHC compliant, unfortunately. If you can return the 4GB Lexar, swap it for a 2GB of the non-SDHC variety. If this answers your question fully, please rate the solution accordingly. Thanks

Tried to unlock Lexar SD 2GB and Lexar SDHC 4 GB - No luck

First of all, the 4GB card will never be able to work in your camera. Check on its face. It likely says SDHC, and SDHC cards as this format came out after your camera was designed (I know it looks exactly like a normal SD card, but it's not).

Now the 2GB card should work with your camera as it is a standard SD card. Remove the card from your camera. Look on the side of the card for the tiny slide switch, and slide it to the other "unlocked" position. Reinsert it in the camera, and see if that corrects the problem.

My memory card won't work in my camerakeeps telling me to format the Lexar 2GB card every time I insert it

Use the camera to format the SD card not your computer. There should be a menu option to format it.

Memory full message

the problem Probably is that the memory card isn't the right kind, so it just records to the "Built in memory". The only way to fix this is to format the Memory card
