I am not familiar with this receiver but since it is a digital device: Configurations are stored in some memory. Some satellite receivers have Volatile memory which will always have a backup battery. Normally a "button" type of battery. These batteries normally last from 3 to 5 years. If you find one, replace it

Hi. I am picking up a buzzing sound. I have had this receiver for years with no problems. Any clue?

Most likely a ground loop. Troubleshooting is difficult.
Completely disconnect devices one at a time starting with the satellite or cable box. Listen for when the hum disappears. If you have recently installed a source (cable box etc) start with that. Have you recently installed any light dimmers? Cheap dimmers can also cause ground loops.
If it is in the cable or sat box you should try to get the incoming line grounded at the demark.
Or try this:

Antenna keeps loosing its satellite connection

ensure the connection into the receiver/dock is not loose. Also check the antenna wire to ensure there are not any places where the wire has become chaffed. Its not uncommon for the antennas to go bad also.

Battery replacement now ca't find satellite Garmin c320

More than likely when you reinstalled the gps receiver (the board with the wires connected to it) at the top of the receiver you did not position it properly. If it is not positioned properly it will not receive a satellite signal

Battery replacement now ca't find satellite Garmin c320

I had the same issue with the only difference that I haven't replaced the battery yet. When my unit can't locate or acquire satellites I change between GPS and WAAS mode. Within 45 seconds my unit successfully locates satellite. After some time if I disconnect unit I might have to switch it back to GPS and so on, and so on, and so on. It worked for me for past 3 months... Hope it will help you...
