Lost instruction manual as to how you reset time on clock

Built in Microwave Neff H5470n0GB/3

How do I reset the day clock as i have lost this part of manual?

    Drive coupling sparks and is burnt. Metal Sorrounds also charred. Would replacing the coupling be enough?

My neff microwave 547 switches it'self off after 25 seconds
Any repair to a microwave should only be carried out by a competent engineer as even when the unit is unplugged there is potential for a large amount of voltage to be stored by the capacitor (which in the case of this model is part of the inverter board). I suggest that you bite the bullet on this one and organise a call from the manufacturer assigned repairer.

That would depend on the microwave. Most new microwaves have a 'clock' button on the front face. Normally, you can hold this down until it prompts you to enter the appropriate time.

Operation manual is lost, how do I set the clock?
The manual for the Magic Chef MCD1311ST Microwave can be downloaded in pdf format from the following site (follow the link then click the "Manuals" tab):

If you don't have time to download, here's what the instructions state:

SETTING THE CLOCK
 When the oven is first plugged in, the display will flash ":0" and a tone will sound. If the AC power ever goes off, the display shows ":0" when the power comes back on.

1. Touch CLOCK pad.
This is a 12 hour clock system.

2. Touch CLOCK pad once more.
This is a 24hour clock system.
NOTE: This oven has multiple clock system. If you want 12 hour clock system, omit this step.

3. Enter the correct time of day by touching the numbers in sequence.

4. Touch CLOCK pad.
The display stops blinking, and the colon start blinking. If you selected 12 hour clock system, this digital clock allows you to set from 1:00 to 12:59. If you selected 24 hour clock system, this digital clock allows you to set from 0:00 to 23:59.

5. Touch STOP/CLEAR pad.

NOTE: If you attempt to enter an incorrect time, the time will not be set and a error signal tone will sound. Touch the CLOCK pad and re-enter the time.

Locating the mangatron fuse for a Neff H5470N0GB
I have never heard of a "magnetron fuse". Fuses are easy to locate on microwaves, though. The easiest way is to follow the power cord from where it enters the oven's frame to where it terminates on the board. There is a fuse in the immediate vicinity of the termination. You can check the fuse with an ohmmeter...it should read zero ohms, anything else means the fuse is blown.

If your oven is blowing fuses that means there is something else wrong with it, most likely the magnetron. You can't miss the magnetron, it is mounted on the side of the cooking cavity, you can identify it by its heat fins. If you want you can trace the wires from the magnetron back to the board, there usually is no fuse in that line but a capacitor is always in that line. Check the capacitor as well, if reads zero ohms it is bad and it is what needs to be replaced.

I am curious as to what is going on with your oven. Do the lights and fans come on but it doesn't heat or is it completely dead, no lights, no display, nothing?

How do you turn the beep off?
Finally worked out how to do this today! I don't know what model you've got (I don't know what one I've got - it's built in and we've lost the manual) but try pressing the START button for six seconds. This should change the default from 30 beeps to 3 beeps. Bliss.

May be a little late, but... 1. Press Power Level button for approx 5 seconds - you get the 12 hour clock 2. Press again for 24 hour clock 3. Set hours using the 10 min and 1 min buttons 4. Press Power level button 5. Set minutes using the 10 min and 1 min buttons 6. Press Power level button And you are done
