Have a problem where MSAccess brings up memory errors when a Projector is connected to the external vga port. i.e. connect and power on projector, power on T42, start MSAccess. error reads 'A system error occured or there isn't enough free memory to start Access'. OS = Win2000, Office version = 2000 w/SP3. No problems with other Office apps. Problem does not occur if projector is turned off when T42 is powered on. Have tried three different T4x series laptops and many cables.
That could be a video card driver issue. It seems that when the projector is connected, windows detects it a create another screen using up more memory. Try download a latest video card driver for your laptop http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/license.do?filename=mobiles/1rd635ww.exe this is for Windows 200/XP for the IBM Thinkpad T42. If that doesn't work then you should also try updating your operating system. Hope that helps!
