My set turns on and off repeatedly for about 3 minutes each time i turn it on sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt i was wondering if it would be an easy fix or even worth calling the repairman in the picture when it decides to work is perfect
I was watching tv last night, everything was fine. This moning I turned it on, and all that it does not is the power light comes on for a few seconds then you can here it click off, then it comes back on again for a few seconds then shuts down again, and keeps repeating the cycle, until I can catch the power light on to turn it off. It does the same think with or with out the remote...I was watching tv last night, everything was fine. Re:
Could ber as easy as a bad capacitor causing the set to shut down or a regulator Ic. This is not a repair for the layman to attempt as a tv set is NOT a place to experiment with.

Its a 30 minute process.
Turn the ignition from off to on
Attempt to start the vehicle then relese the key to the on position for 10 minutes until or until the security light goes off.
Turn of the ignition wait 5 seconds and and repeat the above steps 2 more times, After the third time make sure the ignition is in the off position for at least 5 seconds then attempt to start the truck.
It takes awhile i had the same problem with my 2002 astro and just a note sometimes this procedure doesnt work the first time its a real pain
Not certain this will work on your truck, but many will reset by turning key to "on" but don't try to start, leave on for about 15 minutes, turn off, then try to start.
I am kinda having the same problem not as bad as yours. They replaced my relay or what ever it is 2 times. When it got down to 9 degrees mine quit working again for 2 days. It started working again but took it back to dealer anyway. They had a new part they put in then they called us and told us the blower motor is burnt up and it is gonna cost us $300. We asked how it can be burnt up when it was working when we brought it in. They said I don't know but said it is. After talking to 3 people and no solution to this, we told them to put the old relay in cause we're not paying 300 for something that was working. So far still working but sure it will quit again. Will never buy another GMC produce.

I had a friend with the same problem. He had to clean the components and fans in the set. The accumulated dust had caused the set to run hot and a safety switch was the tv off. He purchased a few cans of compressed air and, as he blew the components and fans out, used a vacuum to capture the blown dust. Good luck.
