Hp officejet 6110 all-in-one

Whenever I turn on the printer, there is a grinding sound for a few seconds and then it stops and a message appears," Scanner Failure. Turn power off ten on again."
I tried to turn the power off and on again and the same thing happens.
I am unable to do anything like print or scan while the above message appears.
Help!

It did not work at all. The same problem persisted.

When I turn on the printer when it is initializing it makes a grinding noise and then reads scanner failure turn off and on again. I have tried this several times and it still does not work. As a result I can't copy or receive a fax.

Maybe you could try to reinstall the driver?

Officejet 6110- do display/needs attention light on continuously

try this
turn on/off, unplug, plug in, should reset configs. might have to do this a coupe of times

go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats.

hope this helps and good luck

My officejet printer is producing grinding sound soon after powered on.I don't know where exactly, but it sounded like from the rollers and some times like from the cattridges

try connecting the printer directly to the wall jack for the power supply.. and do check is there any broken part inside the printer.. or any paper stuck inside.. if found then clean ..

Scanner doesn't initialize on HP 6110 all-in-one

HP.com doesn't have any answers to this question on their support pages, but it sounds like a mechanical problem. Sounds like you'll need to take it in for service.
