Question about Palm LifeDrive Mobile Manager Handheld

Dead; will not boot up

My PDA seemingly has died. I used it in the morning and the next time I went to turn it on it was dead. I've since replaced the battery and recharged it but still was dead. I've tried to reset it with all three resets mentioned but still nothing. When I plug it in I only get the orange light that comes on and that's it. Can I do anyting else to find out what the problem is as I miss my Lifedrive. PDAlover

My LifeDrive has the same problem. Been through all the Palm Support resets etc (none actually activated) and got an SRO number for replace / repair for $185. Red light on when in cradle but no activity from any buttons / resets etc. Dead.

I have the same problem. I baught the unit to use on mission in 2005. I have only used it sparingly since. I decided to try utilizie it more this year only to find it dead. I tried a reset set which braught it back for one day. Then it died again, and I have been unabke to get it to do anything...not even turn on. I spent $400 on a piece of ****. Does palm expect us to purchase a new unit yearly?

Same problem. I had my LifeDrive for 15 months when it stopped working. Light will come on when it is in the cradle to show that it is charging but unit will not come on. Occasionally, if I open the unit, disconnect the battery cable, wait a few seconds, and then reconnect it, the device will come on for a while but not long enough for me to sync to the device. Most of the time it doesn't do anything. Total loss of $400.

I to have the same problem. Palm will switch a refurbished on to me for $175. To talk ot their tech support will cost $25. I have decided to do 1 of 2 things. 1. replace the microdrive with a 4Gb Compact flash and if that is not successful, just throw it away and NEVER get another Palm product. Mine died just after the warranty ran out. 12 months plus a few days.

1998 pontiac sunfire manual. Car starts but sputters and then dies and is completly dead but in the morning will start again and then die. I changed the coil pack but still the same. what can it be?

You can't do any testing, until you have a battery
that will take and hold a charge

Then you move on to testing the Alternator, then
Fuel Pressure & continue on with other testing

My Viper remote won't turn on or charge.

The battery is probably dead. There is a guy on ebay that is replacing them. He fixed mine and it works great. The batteries dont last forever and you cannot just buy them they are a special type, also viper suggests you buy a new remote for $299 because they do not replace the batteries... how convenient. Hopefully that helps.
