WTF is going on...

I have had no problems with this unit up until about 4 months ago. It all started when the unit lost almost all of the default wallpapers that come with the unit (the racecar, the pyramids, the surfer, etc.) I also could not get the two screensavers to play either. Then after this happened I would turn my truck on and the unit would sometimes turn on sometimes not, I thought at the time that it might have been the cold or something like that. Then I thought it had fixed itself minus the missing pics, but when I would go to open the face it would continuously shift up and down and never stop until I pressed the open button at the right time. I consulted the online manual and it said the if anything was going wrong basically, to press the reset button and everything will fix itself, wrong! By doing that my subs will not work, all of my settings have been erased (can't get to any of the menus because of the "open" button thing recycling itself) and I get to listen to my music with just the mids and highs!?! Then if all was not bad enough my unit started to eat my cd's in that it would not eject any of the cd's I put into it( the only way I got them out was with a needle nose plier!) Finally, in the end it would just turn off whenever it felt like it, sometimes for days, then it would turn back on. I took it out of the dash and called pioneer, conviently my 2yr warrenty was up by like 3 months and there are no repair shops over in europe(I'm stationed in Germany)that deal with this model. If there is anyone that knows what the hell is going on please let me know! Thanks.

The microprocessor has gone bad. Pioneer does not sell their micro's individually so it's basically unrepairable unless you can obtain a P960MP with a good main pcb and swap them. That might be the best, as they pop up all the time on ebay with faceplate problems for relatively good prices.
