Scanning takes an image on a document on the scanner's platten and converts it to a digital file format stored on your computer.
Copying is scanning + printing.
To copy, you do not need to separately scan first and then print. Just select how many copies you need on the number pad, then press either the Black or the Colour COPY buttons on the scanner (or open the printer's/scanner's software and click on COPY), while it's connected to the computer and the document will automatically be scanned and printed (copied).
Try powerful cleaning: Press menu, then start black copy, then four times arrow-up quickly after another.Machine will be in maintenance mode (all lights will flash). Press 7-6-4 and OK (or start-black-copy). When finished press 7-6-3 then start black copy, printer will do a power purge. Leave maintenance mode by pressing 9-9. If this not help better think about new printer, because cost of repairing this one is profitable.

first of all on the printer.then place the document to be copied (the orignal)on the scanner glass.then press the option button copy on the printer.then press in which mode you want.if you want the document to be copied in colour press the colour button on the printer.if you want the document to be copied in black press the black button on the printer.and place the blank paper in the paper tray ,thats all.
There is most likely something on your scan glass that is blocking the scanner. Clean of both pieces of glass that are there when you flip open the ADF, or top cover. Try to copy again. If it is still there then there is either something on the scanner piece that moves back and forth to scan or one of your scan LEDs is burnt out and the scanner will have to be replaced.
just place the document or photo which you want to copy on the scanner glass and then press COLOUR/BLACK option which you require.and keep the copy option ON in the printer .it will photocopy what you want.
if your cartages are ok then ckeck the colour print from pc if it is ok then clean ccd and if the problem will also come then replace scanner cable and after that if problem will also come replace scanner ccd
press menu then start black copy then fourtimes arrow-up button. machine will be in maintenance mode. press 7 then 6 then 4 then OK (or start bk copy). machine will refresh the tubes and ph with fresh ink and do some cleaning routines. When finished press 7 then 6 then 3 then OK (or start bk copy). Machine will do a powerpurge. Aftertaht leave the maintenance mode by pressing 9 then 9. Run a quality test print by pressing INK etc.
If you are lucky the ph part for bk will work again.
If not the ph has dried out and cant be fixed anymore. The ph needs replacing.
