No picture When you turn on the tv, all you get is a thin horizontal line across the middle. There is audio. If I move the tv a certain why or press on certain spots, I get the picture back. But, as soon as you turn it off and then back on again the picture is gone again.

Definitley looks like a bad solder. If you know to troubleshoot Solid state Televisions, check out the Vertical stages. Could also be a dry solder in the connector having leads to the deflection yoke. Try resoldering the Hor. /Vert. Oscillator cum output IC. Also check out the capacitors in the vertical stages.

Red/Orange horizontal lines

it could be that the tv convergence circuit is going bad. One shure way of finding out is to go to the tv feature menu(picture, audio etc.) and select the customer convergence setting, you should get a cross hair pattern(cross in middle of screen). that cross should be white and by aligning the red or blue colors they should move left, right, up or down

Tv not working

this symptom, sometimes called the tube light effect, it is characterised by a bright thin horizontal line across the middle of the screen. this symptom is caused by a breakdown in the vertical deflection circuit. hence maybe the trouble maybe in the vertical oscillator, amplifier or output circuits. but if all i have said is not clear to you, better bring it to a qualified tv technician. good luck!
