How long ago did you replace the lamp?
If the lamp has not actually been replaced and you are attempting to bypass this safety feature then I have bad news for you. Once the projector determines current flow through the lamp has exceeded the threshold amount, it will put the projector into the mode it is in now - Critical Lamp Replacement. You can set the projector bulb to low power output and see if that allows you to reset the bulb life timer but, again, if you have not actually replaced the bulb assembly, you are in danger of the bulb bursting under pressure. This can actually damage the projector.

You can find the manual for your projector at

Reset lamp for Panasonic PT-vx400

There should be a menu that goes across the top listing video, audio, setup, projection....etc. Either under setup or advanced there will be a drop down menu with lamp settings under it. Under that menu will be a reset lamp or something as direct as lamp hours. That is where you can reset the lamp timer.
