My SAMTRON monitor 56V is having a problem now.. The control menu of monitor settings which will appear when the monitor control panel is pressed(Brightness,Contrast....) is coming frequently at my monitor without activation... Now when the monitor is turned on, the control panel will come, and will not go even if we change the settings.. The control panel is switching between the CONTROL LOCK and UNLOCKED mode during each 5 seconds....So now I cant see anything on my screen at the middle of the screen due to this overlaying settings panel. I is giving the same effect as the Menu key is pressed in the panel..(exit,-,+,Menu). This problem started some 1-2 weak before.. Today I hav put some etylene cleaning solution through the gaps to clean from dust... still no change... If somebody having a remedy please help me.. Plz clear this problem

SOURCE: Problem with Control Panel
It sounds like theres a front panel button that has become intermittant and making contact all by itself. Sometimes when you clean the screen, the cleaner will drip down between the crt face aqnd the cabinet and make the switch in front go bad. Im not sure if this is the case in your problem but its a start. If you didnt spill anything or drip anything into the front panel then your maicroprocessor could be causeing the problem, or the 5 volts that feed the micro could be noisy ie, bad filter capacitor in the power supply. Now as im sure your aware of the hi voltage inside these sets? Its best if you dont have the training to get a pro to assist you as this hi voltage can hang around inside the set even if its unplugged. Good Luck
