If Word launches fine, but crashes or freezes when you perform some function it is possible your registry's data key has become corrupt. To fix this, you must close Word and edit the registry as follows: Go to start -->run-->type regedit and press enter key , Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\ Word. (Note: the 9.0 refers to Word 2000, if you use Word 97, you will see 8.0, Word 2002 is 10.0, and Word 2003 is 11.0). Inside the Word folder, you will see a folder called "Data". Delete this Data folder and relaunch Word. In many cases, there's some add-in you've installed that's causing problems (slow loading files, etc.) ... something that has to load with every document. One example would be Norton Antivirus, which includes an Office PlugIn that greatly slows Word down because it scans every document when you open it, which is totally unnecessary since Norton already scanned the documents when you added them to your computer. If you are running Norton, go into Norton's AV settings and you will see an option for the Office plugin -- remove that checkmark and see if that fixes your problem. However, if you are not using Norton, this is the kind of troubleshooting you will have to do, with any program you think might be affecting Word. Another thing to check is the "fast save" option in Word. It is definitely NOT fast and causes major sluggishness in Word. Go to Tools>Options and click on the Save tab and remove the check from "Allow fast saves".
PURCHASING, UPGRADING & REGISTRATION
How to buy, register and unlock Image-Line products
DEMO ONLY? Either FL Studio or plugins that it contains may appear as a demo. This means projects saved that contain demo plugins, won't reopen with the demo plugins in place until they are purchased and registered. Once demo plugins are registered, the project will open correctly, as originally saved. To unlock FL Studio or plugins you need to purchase a personalized registry key and install it on your PC. The full purchase and registration procedure are as follows.
Use the DEMO - The FL Studio Demo version and Demo plugins allow you to use all program/plugin features so that you can ensure anything you are interested in buying works 'as advertised' prior to purchase. Demos are unlocked with a single registration key (see step 4), your key will unlock only those features and plugins associated with the FL Studio version (Express, Fruity, Producer or Signature Bundle) & plugins you have purchased. Features & plugins included with each version of FL Studio are compared here, on the FL Studio website.
Purchase - Go to the Image-Line Store and follow the instructions.
Wait for your email - After ordering the plugin you will be sent an email with a login and password to your customized user page on the Image-Line site. Please keep an eye on your spam filter so that it doesn't redirect the registration email to a spam folder.
Download your registration key - A single reg-key is required, it will be set to activate your FL Studio version and/or plugins. Go to the link provided, log onto your personal page and find the link that says 'Click here to unlock this product'. Click on the link and save the RegKey to your computer.
Unlock the purchased item/s - Run the RegKey file (FLRegkey.Reg) by double clicking on it (or right-clicking and selection 'Merge'). The installation will be treated with some caution by Windows, this is normal, accept all warnings and allow the key to be written into your registry. NOTE: You can save this RegKey and use it with any PC you own, all that we ask is that you are the only user of FL Studio.
Use the plugin/software - Next time you open FL Studio you should find that the purchased item is now unlocked and working without any limitations, no additional downloads are required.
If you are having difficulties or questions please try contacting our Live Support through the Image-Line store (the link is located in the top right corner), or contact Technical Support where you can create a traceable support-ticket.
Clean your code. There are built in Application specific functions which don't work in VB Studio. Some will require you pre-load the application first, others just don't work at all.
Save the VBA module as a BAS file. This is just a text file with the module code in it.

Word is also notorious for
leaving temp files on the system that can cause all kinds of problems. All of
these files should be deleted by Word, but they often are not. The file names
all begin with a tilde (~) so search your hard drive for ~*.doc and ~*.dot and
delete any you find.
