Re: cannot access files on h340
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

There is a chance that the file structure has been corrupted and the player cannot retrieve the directories.
I suggest you saving the files onto your computer and perform a format on the players's harddrive. Use a Windows utility or a programs like FAT32formater, available here: http://tokiwa.qee.jp/EN/Fat32Formatter/
The only results from a search for h340 is from Logitech, and this is a quote from Logitech support.
"Your Logitech USB headset doesn't require any drivers or software, other than the default device drivers built into your operating system."
If your device is indeed a Logitech headset then you might try this:
Unplug the headset
Click on start
Right click on My Computer
Click on Properties
Select the hardware tab
Click on Device Manager
Look for your headset and uninstall the driver
close all the windows and reboot
after it reboots plug the headset back in, the correct drivers should then install automatically.
Unfortunately, your H320 is great for music, but quite limited when it comes to video files.
The video format specs for Iriver H320 are:
File format: AVI Codec: XviD MPEG4 (recommend XviD 1.0.2 codec) Resolution: 220 x 176 only Frame Rate: 10 or 15fps Bit Rate: 500Kbps or less Audio Codec : MPEG 1/2/2.5 Layer3 Audio Bit Rate : 128Kbps, 44.1KHz, CBR
For video conversion, try Pazera's Video Suite or NCH Prism Video Converter; both are freeware.
Sounds like the battery is dead. Rechargeables only last so long. I'd copy all the content off it, before the battery dies totally, which could make it not work even connected to your computer. Looks like you can get a replacement battery: Iriver h340 Google Search
And here's a video on replacing the battery: How to Replace the iRiver H340 Battery
iRiver has a special DRM signature, and only recognizes certain file formats. iTunes will ont work with the iRiver, for instance. Here are the formats recognized:
