This has happened to me several times. You just slip the metal tab sticking out of the blade assembly ( the flip up part} back in the slot until it snaps in to place.

I have a norelco arcitec shaver and the heads no longer turn. I haven't had it that long so of course very disappointed with the razor. I would like to take it apart to clean it, thinking there may...

You are problable correct in thinking that the blades are clogged up. Unfortunately, you are also correct about the terrible design. The blades on Arcitec models can not be removed from the head assembly for cleaning

complaints can be made to Noreclo at 1-800-243-3050

Replacement head assembly can be purchase from shaveroutlet.com. See link below

I installed 3 new heads but the shaver just is not shaving off my 5 day old beard... It's battery seems fine as the motor seems to be running at normal speed. Confused Carl

Your Norelco shaver is not designed for cutting 5 days of growth. Your shaver is designed for cutting one, maybe two days of growth only. Use the trimmer on the back to cut the whiskers to a shorter stubble. Then the hairs will more effectively poke through the holes and slots in the combs allowing the blades to shave them as designed.

What part can i submerge in water when cleaning the blades?

Hello,
Even though it has water resist body, like some wristwatches , You are not suppose to submerge it ,to clean just try to keep it under the pouring water in faucet ..
To clean deeply,You can take the Razor Heads assembly out and leave it in cleaning solutions overnight. (please do not disassemble of the blades of its main frame )
My regards.

My razor appears to have died even though the LED

Usually the batteries last only a few years before needing replacement. Rechargeable batteries are good for only so many cycles so you've done well to go 8 years. You can replace the batteries if you're handy with a soldering iron - I've done it many times. However, with 8 years on the clock you'll probably want to replace the blades too. The batteries are about $10 for the pair (AA rechargeables with solder tabs) and the blade set is about $30 so you're approaching the cost of a new shaver already. Here's a link - you'll need two.

How i clean my razor

I have this razor as well. Just flip the heads open, dump the hairs in the garbage and rinse the heads (while open) under hot water. Keep the heads open until dry and close on up.
