Toshiba cf2044j picture expanding

I have a Toshiba cf2044j 20" TV that has worked flawlessly for 15 years. Recently the picture has started growing so that the edges of the display are off the screen. News crawls and captions are off the bottom of the screen, heads are getting cut off and the picture from the sides runs off the edge. Any idea what might cause this?

SOURCE: almost fixed!

Sounds like your unit may be suffering from the 4:3, 16:9 picture glitch.....if so it is easily fixed.

Toshiba regza 32hl67 losing its' picture and motion is slow

I have a toshiba regza 32hl67 LCD tv which is only 2 1/2 years old. The picture on this unit just started to go the other day (screen darkens but images are still visible and the motion/movement is very slow). I contacted Toshiba and they just said to unplug the tv for 3 minutes to reset the tv. This doesnt work. I am VERY upset with Toshiba, after paying $800 for a tv that only lasted 2 1/2 years. If anyone has had similar issues and know how to fix it, please let me know. Thanks

Picture Blown Up

Hello jasalf,

This problem is called blooming, and it is caused by poor High Voltage Regulation. It usually denotes a problem in the HV section of the TV. More then likely the problem is in the IHVT (Integrated High Voltage Transformer).

I hope this helps,

Constant changes in picture colors.

It is a 20" TV set and will most likly, im afraid to tell you, cost more to fix then it is worth. The problem is a bad Picture tube, an intermittant CRT socket or the video jungle IC is intermittant. If you want to invest in an estimate, check out first if it will go towards the repair, as then maybe you can get it fixed at a good price, as long as the picture tube is not the problem Good Luck
