Microsoft Home & Office 2010 wont download on XP for some reason?

Try a different browser. the characters are the command for your browser to download the file but it's not being interpreted properly. This may mean your browser is out of date or you have blocking software preventing it's proper operation.

You need to contact Microsoft to purchase a license. If you do not want to pay for this type of software use the FREE suite called LIBREOFFICE. It is similar to MS OFFICE and can open documents in the MS Office Formats.

It would be against the law to give you a product key for Microsoft Office products.
You can, however get a free office suite from either libreoffice or openoffice.
You may download these free and use them to your heart's content perfectly legally. These programs also read and write Microsoft Office format files.

You can try the free trial before you purchase the full version of the software. You will have a chance to chose which version of Office will suite you best either Office Home and Student 2010 or Office Professional 2010

for whatever reason you require both office suites (may be due to compatibility for DOCUMENTS access, perhaps) , you cannopt have both versions installed on same computer and operate the PC effecctively without issue, unless you have dual boot system . Dual boot (Winodws XP and Vista on same PC, for example) may be your only option to allow these two suites to run simultaneously while running one OS at one time. does this help ? if so , please sne me 4 thumbs up.

It is due to expiry of th trial period for the office suite application. You will have to enter the 25 character full version product key to unlock it or else you will to purchase the full version product key online.
Alternative way is to uninstall the trial version of Microsoft Office 2007 Standard edition an install the office 2010 trial edition which will be valid for another 60 days.
