Focus and brightness (sometimes called screen control) are usually adjusted in the flyback transformer. Check for a bad connection where the flyback is soldered to the board. This could also indicate a problem with the CRT.

I am a technician. My Samtron 56 V moniter dead. Some time switch on when power is connected after 10to15 minutes. Please give a solution.

If you have Samtron 56 V monitor that sometimes switch ON for 10 to 15 minutes, then it is a signal of some internal device fault which needs to be rectified from certified hardware technician from monitor manufacturer service center itself. It is recommended to directly contact Samtron for hardware replacement if it is under warranty or ask to repair it.

I have a samtron 97bdf monitor borrowed the logistics office. It still works but the resolution is so bad my eye strains. I adjusted the contrast and light but to no avail.

tyson_gal, You will need to locate something called the FOCUS adjustment somewhere on the monitor. Maybe Samtron has info at their website under Troubleshooting or something similar? hope this was of some help 12fixlouie

Need Graphics Drivers for Samtron SC-423ps model

For the monitor? In 10 years I've never needed drivers for a monitor, I think you need drivers for your display adapter, check the maker of your computer's website / support - download section for drivers.

Monitor Samtron after 10min. looses contact with computer

This problem is caused by the Novatek chip on the video board. Soldering a 50 Ohm Resistor across pins 5 and 6 of this chip resolves the problem on both the Samtron and the Samsung monitors. I have just corrected one of these last night by this means.
Hope that helps

Fade letters

Hi,

Perhaps what is needed is to re-adjust the focus/screen controls. They are located at the FBT. A friendly reminder, standard precautions applying when working with live HV.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
