Why does dragon naturallyspeaking installation fail with error 1909?

I have tried many times to install both Dragon NaturallySpeaking Version 10 and Version 11 on my Asus laptop. (I own both versons.) During the copy part of the process, I get 2 messages about "Error 1909": one relating to "Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.0.lnk" and another with "Software Updates.lnk". Ihave checked for malware and done a full virus scan. The process appears to completely successfully, and DNS icin is installed on the desktop. When I double-click this icon, I get a message that it is configuring Windows, then it stops, with no error message. There are folders created by DNS, but the folder for DNS in the Start Menu is empty. Nuance was not able to help me. Can anyone help me to get the software installed?

SOURCE: am having multiple crashes daily

just follow steps in my attachment, and it will take care of the issue. all is a plug-in related problem that happens with some apps with office 2007 and 2010.

How to install Nuance dragon naturally speaking Customer Service?

Solution:

Open Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
Go to "NaturallySpeaking > Advanced > Manage Users."
Click on "New".
Enter a name for the user (e.g., John USB).
From the Dictation Source drop-down menu, select "USB Microphone".
Click on "Next".
Follow the instructions in the Audio Setup Wizard to train the user profile.

What is the best voice recognition software for Windows 7

the voice recognition system built into windows 7 is quite good, however if you do not wish to use that, you might find Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 Premium (199$) extremely good, or if that's not in your budget, Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 Home ($99) is also well to do.

Other than that, there is also TalkingDesktop($89) that is also quite good.

I can't access Nuance Dragon naturallyspeaking 10 Speech to text

If you have a non trial version of it, I'd try uninstalling and re-installing the program. Many programs will save personal configurations when you uninstall the program, so it is possible that you wouldn't need to make it learn your voice again. I've never used this particular software though so I can't offer any personal experience on it.

The speech recognition that is built into Widnows 7 is great though. I've used it and think it works very well. You can go through a tutorial and read to it for it to learn your voice.

The serial number can be found on the sticker on the back of the white envelope of the dragon disc.
