The digital lcd panel (detachable) is most of the time ok... but with touch of finger on any of the buttons specially to the right side it turns the lcd screen completely off while CD/radio is still playin but there will be no remote access to the player... but with messin n playin around with it it comes back on quickly...why is this how can i fix it... they gave me an external case with the player... didnt look more than a cosmetic piece to me while installing the system (since i installed it myself) and also it would not fit my vehicles dash design... it may be cuz of that which led to the panel gettin a lil loose after 2 years of use! tho i still am confused what to do next to fix this problem!
Yeah, the faceplate isn't making good contact with the rectagular (rectangular metal connector the faceplate connects to electronically). My best suggestion is to try to remount the unit so the faceplate fits more precisely, or cleaning the metal contacts with a pink rubber eraser like that found on a regular #2 pencil. Rubbing alcohol might also be a viable agent for cleaning the contacts.
