System fan cannot be detected in MS 7352 V1.0

Hello here is the homepage:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3459272&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=3459270&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093

The bios is set to give a warning when the system fan is not working or goes dead (in this case it probably isn't detected or has gone out). You should be able to get into your bios and look for items such as "processor fan warning: on/off" "system fan warning: on/off...etc. If you turn the system fan warning to off it will resolve the problem you are having. The fan for the cpu, must be connected to the CPU_FAN connector on the mainboard.

If the problem is still there, replace the fan, and renew the thermal paste, between the cpu and the cooling element.
Clean also the pc out for dust, with compressed air.

BE CAREFULL when you work on the mainboard, and please take antistatic precautions.

Visit also a computer repair shop, if working on the mainboard is unfamiliar to you.

Good luck

Bios rom checksum error

Hi, the download site for the mainboard is here:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Third-Party+Chipset+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+Desktop+Board+D101GGC

I think you have change the battery on the mainboard:

ghost2233_31.jpg
Its a 2032 watch type battery 3 volts.

The BIOS ROM chip on the motherboard is probably faulty. It could also be another component on the motherboard.

It could also be a fault in the ram memory or the cpu.

Problem with my bios

the first thing i would do is check// change the battery to see if it is any good because it looks like the battery may be bad causing the system to forget the time and things like that,,,, then the next time it boots into bios look at the time and date and location ect..ect section and make any changes to it that it may need , that is why they want you to make changes to the first 4 fields when it boots into bios is to select fail safe options if you have that option and see if it will boot . if not go to default settings ok please keep me posted on this i can help you aout a lot more if needed ok best regards mike

Bios is always re-starting

is called ottimised defaults or load defaults.. or simply enter then save and exit or load the defaults then save and exit

if after you load the defaults and it pops up again then the mainboard battery may need replacing

Problem with my BIOS CMOS Setting

Its due to your default CMOS setup does not match with your CPU configuration especially with CPU speed.
  1. To fixed the above problem goto BIOS and navigate settings of CPU, speed etc. Set the speed with the proper value as per manual. And save the settings.
  2. Infuture when you will load default, at that time also set the CPU settings.
  • The CMOS battery might not be connected properly or may be its not producing enough power as per needed by board. So have a look with another battery. Also clean the connection point of the CMOS battery.

Good Luck

CMOS Checksum error - Defaults loaded

When the CPU speed stored in BIOS and the actuall speed of CPU differs then this error comes.

To fix this you have to select the actuall speed of your attached CPU to the board. Just set the actuall speed and save the changes. It will fix your problem.

Thanks

Big problems

start the system hit delete or F2 to enter setup load system defaults then exit saving changes.

if it didnt work

get to the mainboard
there is a jumper near the cmos battery usually shows the
word (jbat) near it , try to change its position for some
seconds while power is off , this way will clear cmos and set the
mainboard bios to default settings.
start the system hit delete or F2 to enter setup then exit saving changes.

CPu fan turns for 1 second and then stops.

If all was working fine before, then, you have either not connected the cpu power cable, as is sometimes required other than being powered by the processor socket, or your power supply unit is not pentium 4 compatable and is unable to power the processor.
