goes dead (in this case it probably isn't detected or has gone out).
You should be able to get into your bios and look for items such as
"processor fan warning: on/off" "system fan warning: on/off...etc. If
you turn the system fan warning to off it will resolve the problem you
are having. The fan for the cpu, must be connected to the CPU_FAN connector on the mainboard.
If the problem is still there, replace the fan, and renew the thermal paste, between the cpu and the cooling element.
Clean also the pc out for dust, with compressed air.
BE CAREFULL when you work on the mainboard, and please take antistatic precautions.
Visit also a computer repair shop, if working on the mainboard is unfamiliar to you.
