I just got this installed and found out that after playing (either DVD,CD, or FM radio) for about 40 minutes or so, the sound suddenly got lowered automatically before being shut off. If I turn it off for about 12 hours or so, I can restore the sound but the same problem emerged again. Could you please help
I opened mine up and installed a different fan that i got from a computer system. It seems to work just fine now. I can watch it or listen to it at full blast. It seems to be that the system is overheating. Not sure what the previous fix post was about. aka "IC"...not sure what he is talking about. My fix seems to have worked however.

My system just shuts off (does not power off) the audio quits working. It does not seem to have a regular interval. However we have gone through and made sure the sleep timer is turned off. I replaced the cooling fan because the previous one was squeaking really bad.
had my system for 2 years, just started to switch off, then about 1 hour later swiches on. It does seem to get hot, does anyone know if the fan should be on all the time or just when it gets hot?
iI have the Samsung HT-DS610 and it just stopped working one day. The screen reads "PROTECTION". Can it be fixed? If so, how?
i m also having same Sound problem with my Philips Home Theatre 3410 D. The sound automatically goes down and then completely gone.....
Plzzzzzzzz help me out....
I thought my DVD system was haunted. I use it as surround sound for my television and frequently it will shut off with no explanation. I'll turn it back on and it's normal again--no overheating or remote control interference.
