NEED HELP! I have a vertual reality VR3 200W amp. I don't know if anyone can help me but here it goes. I have had it for over a year now worked exelent until recently. The red Warning light comes on every time the bass hits. but if I disconect the RCA cables or speaker wires it goes back to green. what could be causing this anyone that could help it would be GREATLY appretiated.

Wow! Where to start? First of all if the computer has Windows XP loaded on it that is no longer supported by Microsoft. If you want to re-install an OS (operating system software) I would suggest Windows 7.

How about a worn out battery?

Is it more than 4 or 5 years old ?

When you have these auto parts stores & chain storeplaces look at thing for free or whatever,they don't really get to the heart of any diagnostics

That word is thrown around with no understanding
All they do is look for generic codes

No help in my opinion. You need a dealer or good repair shop
to go on a test drive with you & then really start component testing

You so called computer,which is a micro processor,seldom fail
and nothing ever points to anything

Testing system components is the answer

Lets get your thinking cap on

In reality,would any product in a 16 oz container,put into
a 16 or 18 gallon fuel tank ,do anything? Answer NO

Those products will not help the root cause of your problem,
but they do take millions or billions of dollars a year from people

People who suggest any additive ,don't likely know how
to diagnose or work on any car,lawn mower or much of anything

Your car is in bad enough shape with it's current problem, that is
beyond an internet guess & only testing by a repair shop, will
be able to get some idea what is taking place.

Knowledge,Experience,Reference Materials,Tools,Test Equip,
etc,are the only thing that will ever repair any product.

When you go to a web site you need to provide the Make,Model,
Engine or Engine Code,and a lot of technical info,as well as road test
results & such & if you have no idea what your even asking,just
find a 3rd generation repair shop with a good reputatiion

I personally think if your working on your own vehicles,
every one doing so, should say so.

We try & give advice to people & 99% of them, have never
even opened a hood or put fuel in any vehicle in 20 years

All different types of dash lights have been on
all vehicles since 1980 some 31 years

So it supprises me anyone would even still be asking
about them

They are part of the Govt Mandate Emissions program
called OBD1 & OBD2 as it applies to motor vehicles

If you have an auto parts store near you they will check for
codes & do it for free,that way you will know the system
that has a malfunction

You won't know what is wrong or what to do
You change no parts
You have the car properly diagnosed & repaired
by a shop

When you don't know what to do & you never
work on your own vehicles,I would hope you have
a local repair shop you found & stayed with for 20
years,instead of hopping around to different places
as most people do.

You are correct & did make a mistake by not reseaching
vehicle problem & recalls.

The Ford Version is better

I could write a book on any number of issues,but you
still have to go through the entire vehicle once you buy it

You never buy any vehicle ,even a new one ,without working
on it.

You need to change spark plugs,all fluids ,etc
Anything less than laying it up for a couple of weeks
won't do the job.

Very,very few people do anything but drive a vehicle &
maybe change the oil once a year

You hear what good care they take,but in reality have no idea
what to ask a repair shop or any idea what so ever what is done there

Disconnect your speakers and test the amp. If the protection light goes out , check your speaker wires with a meter for resistance and check the speakers for a shorted coil. Hope this helps. If you need further help, post a comment and I can help you further.

switch off pro logic/switch on supper suround/press button twice it will say MOVE:/
switch on Supper suround EQ then Vertual Rear suround then Multi Rear suround then Seat Position.they should be lit GREEN exsept Vertual Rear & center focus.
Seat Position should flash when it does move the curser in the middle of the jog dial.......... i.e UP:DOWN :LEFT :RIGHT .let go & it will set itself. then switch on the Supper s woofer on the amp to MID.
