GE 5.8 GHz Cordless Phone model # 25836 EE1-A

My caller Id. is displaying the wrong date and time, and I would lilke to know how to change or reset the phone. thank you... Omni

    Same issue...power to base and sattelite phones no problems...phone rings and rings, answering message does not engage.



    Have an old phone, hooked up it to the phone wire and did not get a dial tone...but another older phone already hooked-up via land line works just fine and am able to use phone line via our alarm system.



    Trying the solution of unplgging the AC power and unplugging the batteries to see if that works.

Hi all called thompsons becasue mine did the same ...they said to reset phone un plug ac then phone line from base then remove battery them let set for 10-15 min . re hook up and its back to basics.

My Model # is 27957FE 1-A Dont know how to reset
To set the time and date, start at the base unit. Then press the Flash/Program until Set Day appears on the display. Press the Review or Next button to select the day of the week. Then press Flash/Program again until SetTime appears in the display. Type in the time (hour (two digits) then minute (again two digits)) with the keypad number buttons. Then press Review or Next to select AM/PM. Press Flash/Program to store the information.

Please note that if you have Caller ID, the time and day transmitted with the caller ID information from your phone company will override the day and time you have set.

Possible issue if you have Caller ID:

Why does the date and time change automatically after I have programmed the date and time on my phone?

If you are subscribed to Caller ID from your phone company, the unit's date and time setting will be automatically adjusted when caller information is received. If you do not wish for this feature to work, press [MENU] [#] [2] [2] [6] on the handset, then press [0] to select "Manual" and press [SAVE]

Caller ID in another language can't find manual to fix GE phone Model 29265-EE1-A
1. Press the option button. SET 5 OR 6 appears in the display.
2. Press the 5 (+) button until CID LANGUAGE appears in the display.
3. Press the option button to show the current language setting. The default is English.
4. Press the 5 (+) or 6 (-) button to change the language.
5. Press the option button to store the language and return to the CID LANGUAGE display.

GE Cordless phone time setting
Commonly known as RTFM where I come from!. I finally found the instructions that came with the phone & discovered there are no Date/Time settings held in the phone itself. This data is sent 'real-time' along with the Caller Id details from the telecom provider. Pretty logical really when you think about it.

What is the voltage of a GE 5.8 GHz Cordless Phone Model 25836?
often the voltage on an adapter is 6V for a cordless phone. INPUT is usually 120 VAC. OUTGOING shouldn't be much higher or the phone will be blitzed. Hope this helps!

WDSS5315 old phone functioned perfectly well until today when it no longer allows input of numbers and cannot be disconnected when a call comes in. no error codes.
