If the phone is a nokia ,go to the phonebook menu select setting. Scroll to the memory in use and select sim and phone. Your contacts should then be accessible.

Can't enter phonebook numbers - Says memory full

Clear out your caller ID, These phones use a shared memory, once the caller ID is cleared, you should be able to store names/numbers in the phonebook.

I had the same problem but figured it out. For some dumb reason, Caller ID numbers count against your total phonebook memory. So if you just delete all your Caller ID numbers (press the "Caller ID" button and then the "delete" button) then you'll be able to store new numbers in your phonebook.

If I could get my hands on the Uniden engineer that is responsible for this, I'd smack him! :)

most of the SE phone have two types of contact saving

1- in phone memory
2- in SIM card memory

if u have contacts saved in SIM memory but u r using
phonebook memory then it is default

if u save any contact in phone memory u have an option too
to copy it to SIM memory

for deleting a contact it will behave like this:
for example, u have a contact saved in phone memory
as well as in SIM memory
if u delete this contact, then it will be deleted from phone
memory but not from SIM memory

and when u are called from same number
(which is not present in Phone memory but is in SIM)
it displays the name again

if you still can turn your phone on, it should be relatively easy to transfer your numbers. you can either have a phonebook transfer done at a retail store, or if with verizon, use backup assistant under 'my account' online

Phonebook access

i can help... i have incurred this problem a couple of times and understand the frustration! firstly, the reason why snd how this problem occurs is you have saved a number to your phonebook without a name and this causes the phone book to wig-out! to fix the issue simply press "1#". This will allow you to view your phone book in its speed dial order. Scroll through this menu until you find the saved number without the name and DELETE it. This will immediately bring your phone book back to normal. Good luck!
