My freezer isnt freezing at all!

If not a matter of door being left slightly open or hot food being inserted or freezer recently being activated, one pursues other possibilities:

Is the compressor running? It is hot? Is the water filter clogged? Does it have a bad switch? Look for reset switch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XstbFK31Us0

When opening the freezer door on a hot humid day, you allow this hot humid air inside that freezes on very cold surfaces. Cool your home with AC, it will get rid of the excessive humidity to reduce your freezer problem. The less time the freezer door is opened also helps to reduce the ice buildup.

is the unit running, can you hear the compressor , it the freezer fan running check to make sure no wires have been pulled off

replace the ptc overload/relay on the compressor and it will cool again

check condesor fan motor

enter model number and check if compressor is hot after running for a period of time haundi24

Are its condenser coils clean? they get dirty, youre thermostat may be bad but better stuck on than off! you can get an appliance timer rrated for 15 amps and set it off all night or 8 hours at least and it should be fine if not opened alot or compressor isnt tired

If the compressor is running and it still doesn't cool, it is probably leaking freon. If this is a frostless model there are other minor things that can go wrong. This usually shows up on a freezer that has recently been moved or hasn't been used for a time. This is almost never worth fixing as even if you fix it you can't ever completely trust it again. The food inside is usually worth far more than the freezer and most homeowners insurance doesn't cover it anyway.

This is a normal condition.  The condensor coils are in the cabinet and their job is to remove heat which is why it is hot.  You will want to make sure the freezer isn't in a tight spot where air from the room can't flow across it.  Without good air flow it will become too hot and not cool properly and lead to the compressor failing too soon.
