SOURCE: Error code H4-01

That error code indicates that the fuser unit isn't heating up. Try turning the power off, wait 30 seconds, turn the power on. If the error reappers the fuser unit should be checked by a technician to correct the problem.

SOURCE: I have a sharp copier, model AR-285, H4-01

H4 error pertains to lamp errors.

that would either be the copy lamp or the heater lamp.

check both lamps.

with heater lamps,it's usually caused by either a broken heater lamp or a dirty thermostat on the heater roller assembly.

You had 5 jams in the fuser. Clear the jams first. Make sure all sensors are clear. You may need to reset the thermoswitch on the fuser. You will need to remove the fuser to do that. Next press in sequence within 7 seconds #/P Int C Int buttons, then 14, then copy start, yes on the LCD. The copier should recycle and be up and running. Good luck.

I have a Sharp AR-507. Error F2-00. How to fix?

It could also be the sponge roller in the toner hopper. The old ones started to deteriorate after a while so sharp modified them.

***ALWAYS DISCONNECT POWER WHEN WORKING ON MACHINE***
You have to reset fuser errors with simulation 14. Push P * C * then 14 then Start (the button you use to make copies) and it should reset the code. If not then replace the fuser.
SM 5-1 should turn the lamp on. If lamp blinks on and off it is the thermistor, if it does not it is the lamp, but check the contacts on the lamp/fuser -- they have been known to erode.
Also check thermal fuse, if defective replace.

Sharp AR-507 code E7-00

ICU Communication error. Could be a problem with the ICU board or the connection between it and the PCU board. If resetting the machine (main power off and on) does not solve the problem you'll likely need a service call from a copier tech.
