The monitor displays 'no input signal' when properly connected with good cable and working PC. When the VGA cable is unpluged, it says 'check VAG cable'. What could be wrong?

May I know what memory you refer to? Is it PC's main RAM? May I know what memory you refer to? Is it PC's main RAM?

It could be a connection problem between your monitor and your PC.
On the back of the monitor, you will see a VGA cable (usually blue color), it looks something like this:
Make sure that this cable is connected properly to your monitor and the other end to your computer. NOTE: Those 2 round things are its screws, you have to turn them to remove the cable and turn them again from opposite direction to hold the cable in place.
First, make sure the dvi cable is hooked properly to the computer and that the computer's VGA card's dvi output is set to work in the monitor's advance options.
Has this computer/monitor combinatioin ever worked before? Or did the message appear after successful operation of dvi to the monitor?
Perhaps, try to use a vga cable to the lcd monitor to see if that input works.
A number of things can cause "No Signal" on a monitor
1) Check the cable between the monitor and PC is properly connected 2) If the PC has more than one display port try changing the display port the monitor is plugged into 3) Try an alternative cable between the monitor and the PC 4) Check that the correct input is selected on the monitor
I sure sounds like you have backlight problem, since when the VGA cable is connected the power LED turns GREEN and blinks when VGA cable is disconnected, it means the video signal is getting to the monitor OK, so more likely the problem will be in the monitor, but just to be sure, you should also try this monitor with another PC first. Most common failure in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed HP and other monitors to get some ideas what goes wrong: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further.
may be the power button get stuck when you pressing to switch on.just change the power button cable with reset button and see. also chek the **** aslo just remove it and clean it and fix it again.
I would check the LCD against another monitor. It does not have to be a LCD, a regular monitor will do.
This will tell you 2 things, 1. The Video card is good or bad, 2. The Cable is sendinf a good signal.
If when you startup the monitor, you see a display and then after a few seconds it display's a no signal message, this is consistant with a Bad cable or cable ends. or Bad VGA card from computer.
Hope this helps. Good luck..
P.S. If you have move the PC, you may want to open the unit, and re-seat the Card. If the card is not making a solid connect on the board, it will display these syptoms.
