My TV will not come on but the power button blinks red!
I have never had any problems with my TV it worked just fine and all of a sudden it won't turn on and the power button just blinks? I thought maybe the power went out or a fuse blew but after checking other electronics I realized it was just this TV. Is it worth it to get it repaired or just buy another TV?

Blinking of power LED are fault indications. Count the number of blinks occur at one time switch on. For this number, you can get an idea about the faulty section circuit inside it. It will make troubleshooting much narrower. If you wish to get more details about the blinking codes, check this link. Pull up older posts there.
Replace the power supply board the blinking power indicator is usually indicating the power supply needs replacement or repair. You can get the replacement power supply boards from www.tvcircuitboards.com
I'm having the same problem. Can anyone help. If possible i'd like to fix it rather than go return it. It worked fine for a while and then suddenly started turning itself off. Now every time i turn it on it turns itself off.
a tv has two components, firstly a power supply produces high voltage to trigger a line transformer, in turn a transformer produces smaller voltages. firstly check if the ht is constantly been produced from a supply, if this is there than go to a line transformer, and check voltages at the output.
your problem is a more technical problem you will need a tech to look at your set if you are not a tech you wont be able to do it your self. contact a tech to repair your set the problem is in the power supply or related circuit.good luck.
