Question about JVC Sirius KD-LH300 CD Player

1 Answer

JVC- KD-LH300 Im not exactly sure what to do cause i dont have the manual so here goes the question. When you let it sit for about thirty seconds or so a display pops up like some BS about all the different features for the unit and it flashes alot and its really anoying. It says stupid stuff like: YOU CAN LODE PICS OF YOUR FAMILY FRIENDS LOVED ONES and so on. Im guessing but i think that when it was bought it was the display model for the store. Anyways if there is a way to clear it or there is a master reset let me know because im gunna sell it otherwise.

It wasnt the display model it was just a demo mode for the unit press the button below the volume knob for about 5 sec and it will bring up a submenu for everything on the unit including DEMO MODE just turn that off and u can play with all the other fun stuff in there

I have a jvc kd-lh300 that would come on but no sound. i try hooking the wires to individual speakers still nothing, i checked all the fuses nd still nothing..so what do u guys think?

It sounds like you may have a bad internal output ic. If you know how to access the menu, some decks now have the option to turn off the internal output ic. I'm not familiar with that particular deck, so I couldn't tell you for sure.

JVC KD-LH300 Display

Sounds like the problem is a contact point in the face itself. The only way to know for sure is to find a local car audio shop that's a JVC dealer, see if you can get a new face or if they are aware of the problem, I've answered this question a few times so I'm sure a shop may even keep those replacement faces in stock. Hope this helps

JVC KD-LH300 problem

Any after-market CD player needs voltage on the yellow wire and on the red wire before it will turn on. The yellow wire is for a constant power source, and the red is for a key-switched power source. When you hook it up to your battery using only the yellow wire and the ground wire, it's similar to having it in your dash without turning the key on; ie, it will load and eject, but won't power up and play with the key off. Turning the key on sends voltage to the red wire.
