First of all, thank you very much for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs.

The INPUT MODE required to view your DVD player will depend on what connector it is plugged into on the back panel of your TV.

See page 14 of the user's manual for a labelled diagram of the various input connections on the back of your set.

Then see page 18 of the users manual for detailed instructions on how to select the proper INPUT SOURCE for that connection.

Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

http://www.vizio.com/documents/downloads/hdtv/E371VL/UM_E371VL.pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted section of text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.

You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

I truly hope that was helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

Joe.

Want to record VHS to DVD on my Toshiba DVR620KU but do not want to connect to my TV set. Is this possible? My TV is older and does not have the input/output jacks. I just want to put in a VHS tape and a...

If the entire VHS is full then you can easily transfer the VHS contents to the DVD. The video will play while it is recording onto the DVD, but you don't have to have it hooked up to any TV for it to record. Now if you don't know how long the VHS content is that you want to record to DVD, then you will have to hook up the player to a TV so that you can press stop when you reach the end of the content you want recorded. At least this is true in the way that I use to transfer VHS to DVD:

1) Turn on the unit
2) Insert VHS tape
3) Insert DVD-+R or DVD-+ RW
4) Using remote, press VCR
5)Using remote, press play then pause the tape where you want to start recording.
6)Using remote, press DVD
7) Using the remote, press DUBBING. The VHS should start to play and the DVD should start recording

When using this method, don't hit the RECORD button!

I hope this helps!

Cannot get any info on tv screen

Hi there?

May I know what exactly the main problem, "cannot get any info on tv screen". I f you mean that there was no output or your device was not displaying video to your tv.

First check;
wire
  • (if it has damaged or have a worn part).
connection
  • check if you have properly connect each connection firmly into the inputs.
  • check if you have interchange the I/O Audio to Video.
mode
  • check the if you have set the correct video mode, some sets has 1 & 2 video inputs mode.
power
  • see if there was a power coming on your player, or it has a power.
Hope this helps.
