Lets find out if that problem is worth to repair or not..I need some info regarding your TV such as how many flash of LED lights in front?..It will help to diagnose where the fault came from..

in,reply yo your question,when I plug tv in I get a green light,when I turn on the tv I get a red light that flashes 7 times.

OK sir I already encounter that kind of problem before..

just follow this steps:

1. Open the back cover.
2. Power ON TV and look at the green lights on power supply.If the green light flashes 3 times vscan voltage error.
3. Unplug the Y sustain and read the voltage on vscan it should have 190vdc.
4. If the above procedure correct the Y-sustain fault but in all plasma TV when the y sustain fault also the upper and lower buffer got fault too..
5. Replace y sustain and lower/upper buffer then try to power it ON to test if OK..

RED LIGHT BLINKS SEVEN TIMES

The most likely problem are two failed capacitors on the main board in the center of the TV The failed parts are easy to identify as the top of the cap will no longer be flat but will have bulged up. DO NOT attempt to remove the back of the TV unless you know what you are doing.
soldering on a circuit board will be required to fix this problem.

I have a 42" flat Phillips plasma TV. I believe the model number is 42PF7220A/37. I did turn on the TV and was on for few seconds. The imagen was gone for other few seconds and turn off by self; a red...

I think its something on the picture frame board or on the line output board. I would sway to the line output simply because I think but not sure that error code is linked to the line output stage plus when you unplugged the cable the voltage seems within parameters. Good luck.

Most likely the YSCAN UPPER board and/or YSCAN LOWER Board also gone. Your new YSUS board may damage again if you don't replace the bad YSCAN boards. Try to replace the three boards together and then to verify which boards are bad one by one. Good luck.

After you remove the back cover inspect the power supply board for swollen or bulging capacitors. Pull and check any capacitors that you suspect to be swollen. Next, look for a sticker in the upper right hand side of the TV set. Use the values you find on the sticker to calibrate the voltages on the power supply board.
