Hi, the problem you are having is with the data ribbon between the screen and the circuit board so you only need to replace the data ribbon for the screen, once you have replaced this your phone should be working once this is replaced, make sure you dont damage anything whilst doing this as the connections can be a bit dodgy,
Hi,
The problem with your phone is as a result of a bad flex connector cable which connects the touch screen to the panel,it's weak and needs to be replaced.
However, the solution is to take apart the phone and remove the flex cable which is in form of a ribbon situated behind the touch screen and replace it with a newly purchased flex cable.
Yup, if touching the flex cable caused this issue, then you can be sure either the cable or the display circuitry needs to be replaced. It is cheaper to try to replace the cable first. If the issue still occers, then better buy a new phone, cuz the cost of replacing the display circuit is not worth repairing.
There is no sure way to know if the problem is the cable without taking apart the phone, and testing or replaceiong parts. How ever, if your screen goes blank when you touch the cable, then the problem is either the ribbon cable, or the screen itself that has a broken connector, or in rare cases the connetor on the small board.
Check first if the cable is not just misplaced in the connector, and eventually adjust it.
Replace the cable, that cost a couple of dollars. If you still get the problem replace the LCD display.
