Your bulb is going out. replace the bulb and you should be fine. Just remember to set back to defualt settings before your change the bulb out and make sure your give the bulb time to pre-heat before you turn the project all the way on.
Hi there! I'm assuming you're able to enter the password so that the unit comes up...Go into the menu selection called "Initial Settings". Choose the option called "Security Lock" and pick the "off" menu item. Exit out of the menu and power down the projector. Re-start the projector and it should have no password activation. Thank you for your help I visited a Sony retail outlet yesterday and they explained that to obtain sound you have to go through a sound system using the red connection because they is no sound / speakers build into the projector.
