I may be a little late in posting this reply, but I had the exact same problem with my RCA 52in. rear projection. The reason the menu does not give you the option to set the convergence, is because of a simple blown fuse. If your board is similar to mine, the fuse is the center brown one located next to the flyback transformer, which is located on the left side, next to the rear as you view the circuitry from the back of the television, when the rear cover is removed. The flyback transformer can be identified by two thicker red wires leading towards the front. When you replace the center small brown fuse, you will be able to access your convergence menu again. Please use common sense when attempting this repair, by unplugging the tv for a few days prior to the repair. The voltage created by these components can cause serious injury, or even death.

If the convergence is out on that set you most likely do not need to make an adjustment the circuit will need to be repaired. There is a stk on the convergence amp board that needs to be replaced. A good tv shop will run you somewhere between $300-$500 to do the repair
