I have panasonic kx-TD816CE telephone center and panasonic kx-t7668 phone. In telephone center, i put the telephone cord to input 1, and i connect the telephone's cord at output1, but the phone does not seem to work. I do not get any response at the screen - like the phone is dead. Maybe this phone requires specific telephone cord or something? Maybe this phone does not work with this telephone center?Because at manual i read that the phone is compatible with TDA series and mine is TD? Thank you in advance
The 7668 is designed for the kxtda range and wont work on a kxtd 816you need a Kxtd7431 or similar phoneRegards Steve

Not true, there has to be a message or it wouldn't be lit. Try *700 and your extension on the intercom. It clears *all* messages from everybody to that phone.
In the family of 76xx phones, you can also press the MESSAGE button and look at the display. It will tell you who the message is from. On the phones with soft keys, one of the buttons will be the CLEAR feature.

I found out that when i have cable with black red green yellow from one side and yello green red black from the other side and use this cable directly from the wall to KX-7668 then i get black boxes at phone's screen but no signal and no response. Maybe i need specific cord?
Thank you very much for your reply. Another question...If i want to use only the phone without the telephone center, should i need proper calbe and if yes, what cable? (Look at the comment i wrote about the cabling)
