I would return it to the place where you bought it and have them exchange it for another disc. If you bought it online send them an email of call their 800 number. Hope this helps.

hi take it back to the place you bought it from and ask them to check it in store for you . if it was a Christmas present ask for the receipt from the person who bought it or ask them to take it back for you good luck

I bought a new xbox360. the game that came with it works great. I also bought the guitar hero. when i put in my new disc and it says unreadable. Replaced with a new disc still says unreadable. Other game...

If the guitar hero is new, I recommend taking it to where you purchased it and having it replaced. Tell them it will not play on your brand new XBox. Sometimes, rarely, you can get a defective disc.
Hopefully that will fix your problem. If not, you might look into returning the system for a new one.

Your Xbox's DVD diode might be dead or dying, or dirty. You'll have to contact microsoft support to find out more.

Hi, don't know if I am sending this to the right bit or not. My son has an older version of the xbox and I bought him a second hand Lego Indiana Jones game which he loves, used to play ok then started...

this is in the wrong section... but... is there any visible scratches on the disc? if there is a visible scratch you can take it into a music store etc.. and they can polish out the scratch for less then $20 :) hope this is helpful

if this is for just the one game there is an issue with the game it wasnt formated properly i had this same problem with NHL11 there is no fix besides replacing it

When i try starting a game it says unrecognized disc. that the disc is unreadable and to 1 clean the disc with a clean soft cloth 2 restart your console and earlier today it was working fine.

Are you under warranty? Eventually your drive is going to fail. This is usually the first sign assuming your disc is fine.
